South Carolina Pick 4 Lottery
Pick 4 is a daily lottery game offered by the South Carolina Education Lottery. Players choose four numbers, each ranging from 0 to 9. Drawings are held twice daily, providing opportunities to win both day and night. Players can choose various play types, affecting the potential prize amount and the odds of winning.
How to Play
- Select four numbers: Choose any four numbers from 0000 to 9999. You can select the same number multiple times.
- Choose your play type: Select how you want to match the numbers:
- Straight: Match all four numbers in the exact order they are drawn.
- Box: Match all four numbers in any order. The prize amount and odds depend on the combination of numbers selected (e.g., all different, two pairs, etc.).
- Straight/Box: Combines a Straight and a Box play. If your numbers match in exact order, you win both the Straight and the Box prize. If your numbers match in any order but not the exact order, you win only the Box prize.
- Front Pair: Match the first two numbers in exact order.
- Back Pair: Match the last two numbers in exact order.
- Front 3: Match the first three numbers in exact order.
- Back 3: Match the last three numbers in exact order.
- 1-OFF: Match numbers that are one digit higher or lower than the winning numbers.
- Select your wager amount: Wager amounts typically range from $0.50 to $1 per play, depending on play type.
- Choose your draw time: Select whether you want to play the midday (12:59 PM ET) or evening (6:59 PM ET) draw, or both.
- Purchase your ticket: Buy your ticket from an authorized South Carolina Lottery retailer.
- Check your numbers: Check your ticket against the winning numbers, which are available on the South Carolina Education Lottery website, at retailers, and through other media.
Winning and Prizes
The prizes and odds of winning vary based on the play type. A Straight play has the best prize and lowest odds, while Box plays have smaller prizes and higher odds, depending on how many repeated numbers you pick. The official South Carolina Education Lottery website and retailer locations offer a full breakdown of prizes and odds.
Additional Information
- Tickets cannot be cancelled.
- Players must be 18 years of age or older to purchase tickets.
- The South Carolina Education Lottery is dedicated to supporting education in South Carolina.
